Philippa Bateman

Philippa Bateman is a writer-producer and director of Enigma Machine P/L. The company has a slate of drama and non-fiction projects. She also works as a consulting producer and story analyst in television drama, feature film and documentary. In a former life, Philippa was the CEO, co-owner and Head of Creative at the award-winning April Films that financed and produced Ray Lawrence's 'Jindabyne' starring Laura Linney and Gabriel Byrne. She has had producer deals with Universal Studios (US) and United Artists (US) for whom she also consulted on acquisitions. Prior to April, she worked as a senior development and production executive at the AFC (now Screen Australia).
